Veg Garlic Chili Tofu with Sesame Broccolini

Ingredients:

For the Tofu:
• 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and pressed
• 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
• 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
• 1 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Sesame Broccolini:
• 1 bunch broccolini, trimmed
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
• 1 tsp sesame seeds
For Garnish:
• Sliced green onions
• Extra sesame seeds
• Lime wedges

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Tofu:
◦ Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
◦ In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, and maple syrup.
◦ Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
◦ Sprinkle the cornstarch over the tofu and toss to coat evenly.
2. Cook the Tofu:
◦ In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
◦ Add the tofu cubes and cook until they are golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
◦ Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
3. Prepare the Sesame Broccolini:
◦ In the same skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
◦ Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
◦ Add the broccolini and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
◦ Cook until the broccolini is tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
◦ Sprinkle with sesame seeds and stir to coat.
4. Serve:
◦ Plate the sesame broccolini and top with the crispy garlic chili tofu.
◦ Garnish with sliced green onions, extra sesame seeds, and lime wedges.
